As his health deteriorates and the creature continues to grow, Hanae stumbles upon a flyer advertising an exorcist specializing in banishing youkai. With no other options left, he dials the number and finds himself at the Mononokean—a peculiar tea room that magically appears near the infirmary. There, he meets Haruitsuki Abeno, a cold and indifferent young man who reluctantly helps him, only to demand payment afterward.
But there’s a catch—Hanae is broke! With no money to pay the exorcism fee, he is forced to work under Abeno at the Mononokean to settle his debt. To his shock, his new employer is none other than his own classmate! Now, Hanae must navigate the bizarre world of spirits, assisting Abeno in returning strange, dangerous, and fascinating youkai back to the Underworld.
